How to Create and Manage your Carousel in StoreFront Hub

StoreFront Hub provides Buyer Admins with a dedicated Your StoreFront page, where they can manage the content and appearance of their StoreFront site, including the Carousel and Banner.

Note: The Banner option is not currently available but is expected to be introduced soon.

The Carousel allows Buyer Admins to control:

• Which brands are displayed
• The order in which brands appear
• When specific Carousel content is displayed to end-users

Before You Start - There are two types of Carousel configurations:

Default Carousel

The Default Carousel is the fallback Carousel displayed whenever there is no scheduled Carousel currently live.

• The Default Carousel does not have an end date.
• It goes live immediately when saved.
• A Default Carousel cannot currently be scheduled.
• It is recommended to keep a Default Carousel populated with content so that the StoreFront does not appear empty if a scheduled Carousel ends or is removed.
• A Default Carousel must exist before you can create a Scheduled Carousel.

Scheduled Carousel

A Scheduled Carousel is designed for time-bound campaigns, promotions, or planned content changes.

• A start date and end date are required.
• Multiple Scheduled Carousels can be created in advance.
• Scheduling can be planned several years ahead.
• Scheduled Carousels cannot overlap. StoreFront Hub will identify scheduling conflicts and prevent overlapping schedules.
• The start and end times are based on the tenant/site timezone, rather than the Buyer Admin’s personal timezone.

Creating a Carousel

Creating a Carousel consists of three steps.

Step 1: Add Carousel Details

Navigate to:

Your StoreFront → Carousel → Create

You will then be asked to provide the Carousel details.

Carousel Name

Enter an internal name for the Carousel.

This is only used by Buyer Admins for reference and will not be displayed to end-users.

Carousel Header

Enter the header that should appear above the Carousel on the StoreFront.

For a Scheduled Carousel, the header will pre-fill from the Default Carousel but can be changed if required.

Colour

Select the colour for the Carousel.

For a Scheduled Carousel, the colour will pre-fill from the Default Carousel but can be changed if required.

Start and End Dates

For a Scheduled Carousel, select:

• Start date and time
• End date and time

This determines exactly when the Scheduled Carousel will be displayed to end-users.

Important: The scheduled times are based on the StoreFront tenant/site timezone, not the timezone of the Buyer Admin creating the Carousel.

StoreFront Hub will also check for scheduling conflicts and prevent you from creating a Scheduled Carousel that overlaps with another scheduled Carousel.

Step 2: Select Brands

The next step is to select which brands should appear in the Carousel.

1. Search for the required brand.
2. Drag and drop the brand into the Carousel section.
3. Continue adding brands as required.
4. Arrange the brands into the desired order.

The order of the brands in this section determines the order in which they will be displayed to end-users.

Note: Only brands that are currently available and live will appear in the brand selection list.

Step 3: Review and Save

Before saving, review:

• Carousel name
• Carousel header
• Carousel colour
• Start and end date/time, if applicable
• Selected brands
• Brand order

Once you are happy with the configuration, save the Carousel.

What happens after saving?

Default Carousel:
The Carousel goes live immediately.

Scheduled Carousel:
The Carousel remains scheduled and will automatically go live at the configured start date and time.

Editing a Carousel

The ability to edit a Carousel depends on its status.

Default Carousel

Default Carousels can be edited at any time.

When editing, you will follow the same three-step process used when creating the Carousel:

1. Add details
2. Select brands
3. Review and save

Scheduled Carousel

A Scheduled Carousel can only be edited before it goes live.

Once a Scheduled Carousel is live, it cannot be edited.

If changes are required after it has gone live, you must:

1. Delete the existing Carousel.
2. Create a new Carousel with the required details and brand selection.

Deleting a Carousel

Any Carousel can be deleted, including:

• Default Carousels
• Upcoming Scheduled Carousels
• Live Scheduled Carousels

Important: Deleting a Carousel is permanent.

If a Scheduled Carousel is deleted while it is live, the StoreFront will automatically fall back to the Default Carousel, provided a Default Carousel exists.

This is another reason why it is recommended to keep a Default Carousel populated.

Carousel List

The Carousel list provides visibility of:

• Currently live Scheduled Carousels
• Upcoming Scheduled Carousels

Past Carousels are not currently displayed in the Carousel list.

• Only Buyer Admins can manage the StoreFront Carousel.
• A Default Carousel must exist before a Scheduled Carousel can be created.
• The Default Carousel goes live immediately when saved.
• Scheduled Carousels require both a start and end date/time.
• Scheduled Carousels cannot overlap.
• The order of the selected brands determines their display order to end-users.
• Only live and available brands can be added.
• Live Scheduled Carousels cannot be edited; they must be deleted and recreated if changes are required.
• Keep a populated Default Carousel available so the StoreFront has fallback content when a Scheduled Carousel ends or is removed.
