We have a number of different types of transaction, what are they, what do they mean?
In Order History you will see a list of different "Transaction Types" that relate to the type of transaction you have put through.
Digital Transaction Types
Digital Issuance - this is applied to a new sale of a digital gift code
Cancel Digital Issuance - this is applied to a transaction that cancels the sale of a digital code
Digital Cashout - this is applied to a transaction where the remaining balance on a digital gift code is cashed out back to the retailer rather than cancelled.
Example: a digital code is sold for £50. The customer spends £20 and wishes to cash out the remainder. If the retailer supports this then a cash out of £30 will occur.
Physical Transaction Types
Physical Activation - this is applied to a new gift card sale with the first load of funds for the card
Cancelled Physical Activation - this is applied to a transaction that cancels the sale of a Physical Activation transaction
Physical Topup - this is applied to a transaction that is adding additional funds to an existing / previously sold physical gift card
Cancelled Physical Topup - this is applied to a transaction that cancels the sale of a Physical Topup transaction
Physical Cashout - this is applied to a transaction where the remaining balance on a physical gift card is cashed out back to the retailer rather than cancelled.
Example: a physical gift card is sold for £50. The customer spends £20 and wishes to cash out the remainder. If the retailer supports this then a cash out of £30 will occur. This will leave the balance at £0.00 but it would be possible to top up in the future if the Brand supports it.
