We want to help you get set up with Tillo as quickly as possible.
When you are set up with a Tillo account, we immediately give you access to the Tillo sandbox - our testing environment. This means that you can get going with your API integration and start placing test orders straight away.
Here's what you need to know to get started.
How to log in
When you are set up in sandbox, you will receive an email asking you to create your password. You can then log in at https://sandbox.tillo.dev.
Who gets access to sandbox?
We set the Technical Contact (who was specified in your partner sign-up form) up with access to sandbox. If you need to add additional users into your sandbox account, we explain how you can easily do this later on in this guide.
Sandbox is separate to your production account. Sandbox is designed just for testing and integration purposes. As a new partner, you will also have been set up with a main (production) Tillo account where you can begin exploring the system and completing your profile, so that it’s ready once everything is in place for you to go live on the network.
You will have received a separate email inviting you to set your password for your main Tillo account, and you can login by going to https://app.tillo.io/.
Your user role
You (the Technical Contact) are set up in sandbox with IT Admin rights. This allows you to manage your API settings, credentials and whitelisted IP addresses. All of this can be done in the API Admin page, accessible by the left hand navigation bar.
As an admin, you can also manage and invite additional users to sandbox if you need. Head to the Company page in your account and navigate to Users to ‘Add Staff’. You can toggle ‘IT admin’ rights for users here too. This help guide explains the IT Admin role in full.
Brands
You are set up in Sandbox with a selection of brands to allow you to start testing quickly. Head to the Brands page, and you’ll see a list of brands immediately available to you on the Your Brands tab. You can browse and add other brands to test with by navigating to the Available tab. Just select a brand to open up the brand’s page, and click ‘Add brand’.
Funds
We set you up with plenty of test funds so you can start placing test orders straight away. You can check your test floats in the Monies on Account page.
How to get started on your API integration:
Add your IP Address to the IP Whitelist
Head to API Admin page and select the IP Whitelist tab. Select ‘Add New IP Address’, and you will be prompted to add the IP address and any relevant notes to help you identify it.
When you have selected ‘Add address’, you will see this IP Address listed in your ‘Live’ list, and it will be immediately available. This guide explains how to manage your IP Addresses.
Create an API key and secret
On the API Admin page, you will see an API user [NAME OF API USER] has been created for you - visible in the Users tab. This is ready for you to assign credentials to right away. To do so, click into the API user and select ‘Create access key’. You only ever see this secret once, so make sure you copy it straight away. This article shows you a step-by-step guide.
Start integrating!
You’re now ready to start your integration. Here’s some handy links:
-
Read our Quick Start Guide that sets out how to get going with quick setup and integration here.
-
An overview of our API can be found here: Tillo API.
-
The details of the different API calls you can make are here: Tillo API v2. From here, you can "Run in Postman", which will download a Postman collection so you can quickly test our API using your own credentials that you created in your sandbox hub.
Complete your certification document
As you complete your integration, you will need to complete your certification document, which will have been sent to you within your 'Welcome to Sandbox' email. This needs to be completed for each of the endpoints you implement, along with screenshots and descriptions of the user journey(s). Your certification document needs to be completed before we can fully certify you and launch you onto the network.
How to get support
We are on hand to help support you throughout your integration. Email techteam@tillo.io and a member of the team will answer any questions you may have.
Does your organisation use Slack? We can set up a dedicated private Slack channel to help with integration queries. Just send an email request to techteam@tillo.io.
