Before you can begin purchasing Indian gift cards on the Tillo platform, you will need to add funds to your Indian Rupee (INR) Universal Float.
Because of local financial regulations in India, the process for funding an INR float differs slightly from standard currency transfers: you must send your transfer in USD, which will then be converted into INR directly in-market. This is done at no extra cost to you.
Step 1: Navigate to Monies on Account
Log in to the Tillo Hub.
From the main navigation menu, select Monies on Account.
Locate the INR Universal Float row in your account overview to view your current available balance.
Step 2: Enter Your Transfer Amount in USD
Even though your float balance is tracked in INR, your deposit must be submitted in USD.
In the Transfer amount column for your INR float, enter the USD amount you want to add.
Review the indicative INR value displayed alongside your entry.
Important: The INR value shown at this stage is an estimate. Because live foreign exchange rates fluctuate, the final INR amount credited to your account will depend on the exact exchange rate at the moment your transfer is settled and confirmed in-market.
Step 3: Confirm
Once your transfer amount is entered, click the green + to proceed.
Your transfer balance will reflect the value in USD.
If you are funding multiple brand floats or currencies at the same time, Tillo generates one consolidated payment reference. You only need to make a single bank transfer instead of multiple transactions.
Step 3: Review Bank Details & Payment Reference Number
On the next page you will be shown your payment reference number and bank details. Use the exact destination bank details shown on the confirmation screen to submit your wire/transfer from your bank.
If you already have a USD float active, it will be the same account details.
Always copy and paste the payment reference code into your bank transfer notes. This allows our Finance team to match your payment immediately upon receipt.
What Happens Next?
Pending Alert: As soon as you complete the transfer flow in the Hub, our Finance team is notified that your transfer is in transit.
Settlement & Conversion: Once the USD arrives, it is converted into INR at the prevailing in-market rate.
Balance Update: Our Finance team confirms the payment in the Hub, instantly updating your live INR float balance.
Email Confirmation: You will receive an automated email confirmation the moment your funds are ready to use.
