In the Tillo Hub, Tags are labels you attach to orders or transactions to help you group, filter, and report on your spend. Whether you are running a specific seasonal campaign or managing multiple cost centers, tags turn a simple list of orders into an organized, searchable database.
💡 Before you start: Tags are applied at the point of purchase. Decide on your tagging strategy (e.g., using "Campaign_Name" or "Department_ID") to keep your reporting consistent.
Why use Tags?
Think of tags as your internal filing system. Instead of hunting through a long list of dates and brand names, you can use tags to categorize orders by:
Campaigns: e.g., "Summer_Promo_2026"
Cost Centers: e.g., "HR_Engagement" or "Sales_Incentives"
Regions: e.g., "UK_Office" vs "US_Team"
When it's time to export your data, you can simply filter your report by "Tag" to get a clear view of your ROI for that specific category.
Tagging Bulk Orders
When placing a Bulk Buy order in the Hub, you can add tags manually during the checkout flow. These tags will be applied to every single gift card within that specific order.
Build your order: Add your brands and values as usual.
Review Order: On the review screen, look for the Tags field.
Add your labels: Type your tag and press the comma key or Enter to set it. You can add as many tags as you need.
Tagging API Sales
If you are using our API (Version 2), you can pass tags systematically. This is ideal for automating your reporting based on customer type, location, or internal project codes.
Tags are passed as an array. For example, if you want to track a customer from a specific bank in a specific region, your code would look like this:
"tags": ["Enterprise Customer", "ACME Bank", "North"]
Documentation: For full technical details on implementation, visit our API Documentation.
Reporting on your Tags
Once your orders are tagged, you can use those labels to slice your data in the Order History tab.
Filter in Real-Time: Use the Tag Filter at the top of the Order History page. Select a specific tag (e.g., "Summer Promo"), and the list will instantly update to show only those sales.

Deep Dive in Excel: Download your Order History report as a CSV or Excel file. You will find a dedicated Tags column, allowing you to create pivot tables and detailed cost-center breakdowns.
