Bulk Buy and Buy & Send are both “order via the Hub” flows, but they’re used for different outcomes:
Bulk Buy: Is for when you're buying codes in volume for your business (inventory/fulfilment).Output is typically a downloadable file/report of codes, rather than Tillo emailing each recipient.

Buy & Send: is for when you’re buying codes and Tillo sends them out to end recipients (one email per recipient).Cards are sent immediately once they are purchased. It supports recipient-specific fields (e.g. recipient email/name, sender name, subject, optional message)—usually via a spreadsheet/CSV upload for distribution.
How to place a Buy & Send order
Using a CSV upload is the fastest way to place large-scale orders, especially when you want Tillo to handle the delivery directly to your recipients (Buy & Send).
💡 Before you start: If you are paying using your float, make sure you have added enough money to your account.
Step 1: Prepare your CSV file
Your CSV must follow the Tillo layout exactly to process correctly.
Download the Template: In the Buy & Send tab, look for the Example Gift Card CSV link on the right side of the page. Use this as your starting point.
Get your Brand Slugs: You must use the correct "Brand Slug" (not just the brand name). To see a full list of slugs, discounts, and available denominations, click the View Bulk Upload Brands button.
For a Buy & Send order, your spreadsheet will include the following columns:
Brand Slug: The unique ID for the brand (found in the Hub under Brand Information).
Currency: (e.g., GBP, USD, EUR).
Value: The denomination for each card.
Recipient Email: The email address where Tillo should send the reward.
Recipient Name: The recipients name (exactly as you want it to appear).
Sender Name: The name of the sender (exactly as you want it to appear).
Subject: The email subject line.
Message (optional): a 200 character personalized message.
Tags (optional): If you use tags, indicate them here for tracking purposes.
Transaction reference (Optional): Your internal tracking number for these gifts.
Step 2: Upload your file
Navigate to Buy gift cards in the left navigation menu.
Click the Buy & Send tab at the top of the page.
Click Browse to select your file, then click Upload.
Step 3: Troubleshoot errors
If there is an issue with your file—such as an incorrect brand slug or an unsupported denomination—the Hub will show an Error 403 message.
Common Fix: Double-check that your brand slugs exactly match those in the "Bulk Upload Brands" list.
Denominations: Ensure the values you've entered are within the min/max range for that specific brand.
Step 4: Select your delivery method
Once your file is accepted, you will proceed to the review screen where you will be asked to choose the delivery type. Not all brands allow for code delivery, so you may only see URL delivery as an option.
When your list is ready, click Review Order.
Step 5: Indicate order details (optional)
On the review screen, you will see a summary of your order.
Sector: Select the sector that best describes who these rewards are for (this helps brands understand the distribution).
Tags: If you use tags, type them separated by commas.
Reference: Add an optional reference for your own internal tracking.
When your list is ready, click Proceed to Payment.
Step 6: Choose your payment method
Monies on account: If you have enough funds, your order will start processing immediately.
Invoice: You will receive a proforma invoice. Your order will only begin processing once payment is received and approved.
When you are ready, click Place Order. Cards are sent immediately once they are purchased.
Step 7: Your order will show in the orders tab.
A progress bar will appear to reflect the state of your order. You can also expand the row for more information. Once it has completed, it will move to the Completed Orders section at the bottom of the page.
🏁 Order Completion & Delivery
Instant Delivery: The digital gift cards are sent directly to your recipients' inboxes.
Order Confirmation: You will receive a summary email confirming that the order has been successfully processed and dispatched.
